We use the limited data we collect for the following purposes:

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for advertising purposes, or for any purpose unrelated to operating the app.

Anthropic (Claude AI)

Conversation prompts you submit are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy, available at anthropic.com/privacy. Anthropic does not use API content to train models by default.

Apple

Apple manages your subscription, payment processing, and (if enabled) iCloud sync. We never see your payment details. Apple's privacy practices apply, available at apple.com/privacy.

No other third parties

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade your data with any other third party. We do not use marketing or analytics services within the app.

06Your rights

For users in the European Union (GDPR) You have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. You may withdraw consent at any time by disabling features in Settings. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For users in California (CCPA / CPRA) You have the right to know what data we collect, to delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising purposes.

How to exercise your rights

07Children's privacy

talk is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK, where required by law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

08International data transfers

When you use talk, your conversation prompts are sent to servers operated by Anthropic, which may be located in the United States or other countries. By using the app, you consent to this transfer. Anthropic and Apple maintain appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international data transfers under GDPR.

09Data retention

10Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the app or App Store update notes. Continued use of talk after a change constitutes acceptance.
